I really liked that she used one of my favorite Maddow catch phrases, but what she said about the war on terror is actually really important:

We’re on a war footing. Is that war footing forever? That’s the question, right? When does it end? It’s not a philosophical question— it’s an empirical question because this is not a war we ever planned on winning. We planned on just fighting it for a while and then eventually stopping… maybe. And I’m not just saying that because that’s my take on it, and I’m a commie pinko liberal— although I am. I’m saying that because it’s been the understanding all along from the people who declared this war in the first place that this was never something that we were going to know was over because it had a winner.
